Courts should have wi-fi!
Seriously, the courts should have wi-fi. So we can all blog while were sitting through long boring cases :)
Anyway, it was lovely meeting some of the bloggers at Wisma Denmark today, you know who you are! Shame I didn’t take any pictures because I was caught up with meeting people and juggling two court cases (I only had to write one, I was simply busybody with the other).
Courtrooms are cold. Even the corridors are chilly. I strongly advice those who plan to attend court to wear a jacket. Somehow it wasn’t too cold in Civil 3 as 30-40 people crammed the corridors in support of Rocky in his case against NSTP and others. Corridors of bloggers! (instead of power, if you get the joke. lol.)
Cameras were snapping, people were chatting and bloggers were for once, not blogging. Haha. I don’t think some knew who I was but some did say hello. It was given away when someone asked for ‘Pulau Tikus’. And Rocky later echoed that I’m one one of the more famous slash prominent ’snipers’. Big Dog suggested I wear a fish bowl should I decide to chill at the NPC with them since I am allergic to ciggies. Soon after, MM and Nuraina turned up with cake! lol. The crowd later left for tea downstairs after Edmund and Malik settled some stuff in chambers.
So what’s the most recent update with the case?
The plaintiffs’ statement of claims that were ‘fatally deficient’ were amended so the respondents have asked for time to go over it before arguing on matter pertaining to Rocky’s application to strike the suit out. Edmund said they may consider to withdraw the striking out application but that’s subject to how the amended statement of claims goes. Rocky’s hearing is next set for April 2.
I popped back to the canteen to bid my adieus and there was some cake left! lol. Nuraina graciously served me a piece while I chatted to MM for a bit. I noticed there were cupcakes, they were so pretty! But I didn’t have a chance to eat any. I had to rush back to office because I hitched a ride with Tian.
So I’m waiting to get home and upload the new, amended statement of claims. It’s already in my inbox :) Watch this blog! lol.

BTW, Pulau Tikus is an upmarket neighbourhood in Penang Island, near the Governor’s official residence.
The gold fish bowl might look good on you. It could even grow on you, if you do it often enough….:) Maybe you can start a new rave at NPC, “Goldfish Bowl Night @ NPC”.
Me? I just take pot shots at these smokers, all the time. Smoke and my lungs, don’t actually get along either. Maybe I’ll wear a goldfish bowl, as well :)

lulu: i didn’t take the lift down. lol. but i did take the same lift up as bon and rocky. was i really asking lots of questions? i had to stay on for another case next door and i went downstairs a lot later.
are you sure it was me? next time when you drop by (with more cupcakes so i can try them. hehe), just ask rocky or jeff or bigdog or a voice who politikus is. they’ll let you know.

Courts should also have nicer canteens, preferably ones without zinc roofs making it impossible to carry on a conversation when it rains. Heh heh…

So, it is now safe to come to the NPC. I am looking for an antique fishbowl…have you a color preference. But if Shar101 seduce you to give a karaoke number you will have to take off that bowl, because the mike is still too large and cumbersome, if you get my drift. Because you were allergic to ciggies my intention was a glass paneled booth for you but Big Dog’s fish-bowl carried the day. I am anti-ciggies too, but I do love my pipe.Call Zorro if you need a ride to NPC……safe lah…..you could qualify to be my grand-daughter, no?
